An important note: our Heavy Rigid (HR) driving course is suited for those who want to drive a Heavy Rigid vehicle. A Heavy Rigid Vehicle is a motor vehicle that has 3 or more axles and a gross vehicle mass greater than 8,000 kg.

Enrolment Requirements
Obtain a learners permit from the Department of Transport WA.
A learners permit costs $126 and this covers your eye test, theory test and a HR driving assessment (Departmental Assessment / PDA).

HR LICENCE Perth 2 day Course Cost
The cost of a 2 day HR training course is $1400 + GST.
$140 +GST per hour for additional hours.
This includes 10 hours of training
Course Content
Our HR licence training course includes:
Induction
Pre-vehicle inspection
Cabin Drill
Demonstration drive
Heavy Rigid Driver training
Clothing Requirements
During training and the HR driving test, customers must wear enclosed footwear in addition to suitable clothing.
Location
Perth, Western Australia. Training commences from our Coolbinia office (near North Perth).

We accept direct payment, eftpos and cash payments.
HR LICENCE Driving assessment
Schedule
Customers will be scheduled in for training and their driving test at a Department of Transport WA. The confirmed test time and location will be provided by our staff.
Practical assessments are conducted between Monday to Friday within the Department of Transport WA’s assessment hours. Enclosed shoes must be worn – no sandals or thongs. You must bring your learners permit and current drivers licence to the assessment.
Customers can conduct their HR driving test at one of the DOT truck assessment locations including, but not limited to, Joondalup, Rockingham, Mandurah, Kelmscott and Midland.
Everyone receives a copy of their driving test score sheet. Students who pass will be required to pay for their new licence at the DOT.

Driving course for those who hold their Western Australian Road Ranger Open Class Licence – Non Synchromesh and are looking to refresh their skills and knowledge of driving a RoadRanger gearbox.
Enrolment requirements
Valid and current WA Open Class Licence
Refresher Truck Driver Training
1 on 1 training available across 7 days of the week. Customers must wear enclosed footwear and appropriate clothing.
Schedule
True Blue schedules training dependent on availability and requirements. We have flexible training and we’re open 7 days.
Refresher Cost
Hourly rate of $140 + GST per hour, minimum 3 hours.
Payment
