An important note: our Heavy Rigid (HR) truck driving course in Perth is suited for those who want to drive a Heavy Rigid vehicle. A Heavy Rigid Vehicle is a motor vehicle that has 3 or more axles and a gross vehicle mass greater than 8,000 kg.

Enrolment Requirements
Obtain a learners permit from the Department of Transport WA.
A learners permit costs $150.00 (check with the DOT WA website for updates to pricing, this is a guide only).
The fee covers your eye test, theory test and a HR truck driving assessment (Departmental Assessment / PDA).

HR truck driver training Perth 2 day or 3 day course cost:
A 2 day HR training course is $1750 (inc GST). This includes 10 hours of training & test.
A 3 day HR Road Ranger course is $2,100 (inc GST). This includes 12 hours of training and test.

Enrolment Requirements

HR-b synchro LICENCE Perth WA 1 or 2 day Course Cost
The cost of a 1 day HR training course is $1,155.00
The cost of a 2 day HR training course is $1,320.00

WA HR LICENCE Driving assessment
Schedule
Customers will be scheduled in for training and their driving test at a Department of Transport WA. The confirmed test time and location will be provided by our staff.
Practical assessments are conducted between Monday to Friday within the Department of Transport WA’s assessment hours.
Enclosed shoes must be worn. You must bring your learners permit and current drivers licence to the assessment.
Customers can conduct their HR driving test at one of the DOT truck assessment locations including, but not limited to, Joondalup, Rockingham, Mandurah, Kelmscott & Midland.
Everyone receives a copy of their driving test score sheet. Students who pass will be required to pay for their new licence at the DOT.
Road Ranger non synchro / Synchro refresher course
Driving course for those who hold their Western Australian Road Ranger Open Class Licence – Non Synchromesh and are looking to refresh their skills and knowledge of driving a RoadRanger gearbox.
Enrolment requirements
Valid and current WA Open Class Licence
Refresher Truck Driver Training
1 on 1 training available across 7 days of the week. Customers must wear enclosed footwear and appropriate clothing.
Schedule
True Blue schedules training dependent on availability and requirements. We have flexible training and we’re open 7 days.
Refresher Cost
Hourly rate of $165.00 per hour, minimum 2 hours HR B Only
Hourly Rate of $175.00 per Hour minimum 2 hours HR (Open class)
